Reading Time: 2 minutes

Looking for something fun to do with the kids indoors?  Look no further than Kids Empire, coming to East Gate in Moorestown.  According to the leasing company Metro Commercial’s site plan, Kids Empire will be coming to the former location of Thomasville Furniture, directly behind the Buffalo Wild Wings on Nixon Drive.

Kids Empire is a chain of floor to ceiling indoor playgrounds with 11 locations in Arizona, California, Illinois and Texas, with an additional 8 locations listed as ‘Coming Soon’.  (Moorestown is not among those listed yet.)

According to their website, Kids Empire will contain a 3 story climbing structure, with 3 story slides, a soccer field, bikes and ‘motorcycles’ and a lit up dance floor, fun for your children ages 0-12.  The playground features the Maze (pictured above from KidsEmpire website): where active play lets kids get out all their energy. “The maze is packed with lots of different obstacles waiting to be conquered. Easy or challenging, they all encourage kids to move, act and develop abilities: get ready to cross bridges, balance on a beam.”

For the younger children, a giant ball pit, little trampolines small bicycles and slides will keep your children entertained for hours.

Pricing seems reasonable at $15 per day per child, with 2 free adults per child.  There is a snack bar inside and no outside food is allowed, but since admission is for all day, you’ll be able to leave and visit any of the many restaurants in the area and return after lunch.

And of course, Kids Empire will be a good place for birthday parties, with different packages available.

Work has not yet begun on the new Kids Empire, so it will be a while until it opens, but stay tuned here for more details as they are available.

(Note that there is Kids Empire in Totowa, NJ, but it doesn’t appear to be related to the chain moving to Moorestown.)
