Esc Virtual Reality Coming Soon to Cherry Hill
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Get ready Cherry Hill!  Something new is coming, and I don’t think there’s anything like it in the area.

Coming this month to the Cross County Shopping Center on Route 70 : ESC Virtual Reality!

From their website: “What is Escape Virtual Reality?  Escape Virtual Reality is the ultimate team-based fully immersive experience.  Blending the escape room concept with a full 3D cinematic experience to deliver a unique, immersive and mind-blowing adventure.”

The experience is marketed towards group outings – Team Building and Corporate Outings, Birthday Parties, Date Night, School Trips, etc, but it can also be experienced individually.   Parties and private events can be catered using ESC VR catering partners, with a party host provided.

And perfect for Covid times, each player is in their own 10 foot by 10 foot room, where you will “talk to each other, walk around, bend, throw objects and collaborate together to solve the puzzles and challenges.”

Participants are outfitted with their own VR Headset (an HTC Vive) to play.  There are currently more than a dozen missions to choose from in a variety of languages.  The missions are separated by genre: Adventure, Survival,  Multi Player Shooter, Action, Escape Room, Horror.  Some missions are geared towards younger visitors (minimum age is 10) such as “Time Travel” and “Avri Arena” and some towards an older (16+) audience, such as “Sanctum” and “House of Fear”.  There is even a seasonal mission called “Christmas”.

ESC Virtual Reality is hoping to open by the 2nd week of December, pending inspections by the township.  They are located in Cross County Shopping Center near the Cherry Hill/Marlton border on Route 70, across Route 70 from the old Oskar Huber.
